Edpuzzle Review


 

Ed-puzzle is a website for creating educational videos. Other than creating our own videos, the platform enables us to use countless content on YouTube and edit them which makes the website quite useful. What I find the most beneficial is that teachers can add questions to some parts of the videos. So when a video is assigned to students, they need to listen carefully and answer the questions. I believe it is a great and fun way of assigning homework.

Here is a YouTube video I edited on Edpuzzle. I cropped the video and added a question. This video can be used in a classroom for an introduction lesson to Philosophy or can be assigned to students before an introduction course.

It basically uses augmented reality to place virtual content to real world. This app can be used for different purposes at classrooms as it attracts students attention and make the learning experience more interesting. There are some papers to print on the website. Students can paint the drawings on these papers then see their paintings alive by using the QR code or have masks with them and do role-playing activities.There are also virtual reality versions of some environments such as ocean.Teachers can adapt this app to almost every  subject.
